Chiropractic Care

Healthy kids grow into healthy adults! We see many newborns for their first visit within the first few weeks of their lives. If a baby wasn’t in a good position in utero or if they had a traumatic delivery, this can result in excessive strain on their little body, specifically their neck. Even without trauma, birth is a lot of pressure on the baby and we love to give all babies a check up to make sure they get life started out with their nervous system functioning its best with their spine and cranial bones aligned!

When finding a pediatric chiropractor you want to look for someone that has extra training and experience outside of what is taught in chiropractic schools. Treating kids is different than treating adults and its important to know how to care for kids’ developing spines specifically. Newborn adjustments are performed with slight pressure that is soothing and relaxing to them. As the child gets older we add in slight increases in pressure but always stay gentle. Kids love getting adjusted in our office because it feels good and we make sure they are comfortable!

We usually see babies in our office for a wellness check up, nursing difficulties, torticollis, colic, difficulty sleeping, constipation, and reflux. Some conditions that we often see kids in our office for are: growing pains, bed wetting, sports injuries, falls, headaches, digestive problems, ear infections, and ADHD. Often the aches and pains we are experiencing as adults stem injuries or falls we had as a kid that were never addressed. Getting your kid checked by a pediatric chiropractor can help your child far into the future.

**UPDATE **The doctor reached out to me and wanted to know what she could do to make me feel better. She offered a few different options & I really appreciated that but with my condition I... declined.While they are all really nice it felt pretty disorganized. They were very apologetic about the delays. I had the time today to spend an hour and a half there, but I can’t plan for that in the future.I went in for my hips and they’re ok, not great but I realize that it takes time to get better. However, I’ve been dizzy since she cracked my neck, which was fine before she worked on it. I’ve been nauseous and I think my equilibrium is off, now I need to go to the ear doc to fix it. The dizziness only subsides when I’m flat on my back.I think this practice works for some but I have psoriatic arthritis (she knew this) and it’s not a good fit for me.read more

I love Dr.Kim. I am sold for life now on acupuncture and chiropractic care. I have always had a terrible low back. Sometimes debilitating in pain. The last time I threw my back out Dr.Kim did... chiropractic adjustments as well as acupuncture and she had me back up and feeling almost completely better after just two days. That injury normally takes me 4-6 weeks to recover from. The last two months I have gotten acupuncture for my neck due to numb and tingling in my arms and fingers. Last month it took care of it for a full month. I just had it down again today and I am feeling great. The Vibroacoustic sound therapy bed while getting acupuncture can’t be beat.
